Secrets hidden behind smiles,
Laughter concealing grief,
Depression locked behind bathroom doors,
Hatred woven into love.
Whispers in the dark,
Giggles shattering silence,
Late night movies,
Popcorn with grapes.
A novel:
Seemingly short,
Yet, when you read,
You dig deeper, and deeper,
Emptying a hole, that goes for eternity.
Abundantly scarce,
Cruelly comforting,
Present one moment,
And hidden the next.
