Simplicity
The days we spent, talking, laughing, dreaming
Were all but a fantasy that could never happen
Friends till the end, how we wish it could still be
But things always change, people always leave
As we grew older, some drifted apart
New friends were made, some were lost
As the branches spread, intertwining us all
I thought in the end, it would be back to the roots
When will time allow us to last, when can we all just be
When can we go back to the friends we once were
Back to a time where we all felt safe
I long for that simplicity
