As a melancholic laugh fills the room
We give a small smile to me, to you
"It will all be over soon," you say
I simply agree and nod away
Our foot steps echo as we stroll across the hard wood floor
We're quite uncertain when they're going to burst through the door
So I guess we'll cherish every moment until the ringing in our ears come back
We'll sing our songs for now, but silence is what we lack
Our heart beats are the only thing audible now
As we sit, awaiting the curtain call and our last bows
We'll take the applause, and revert back to the monsters we've become
Hopefully we'll be able to sail back to the place we came from
As a melancholic laugh fills the room
We give a small smile to me, to you
"We'll have another moment like this, don't you worry."
But knowing our pride, I hope it comes back in a hurry...
