Link to reality
Memories are funny things
They chain you to those loved
And remind us why some links
Remain broken
They are like ghostly spectrums
Some are bright and vivid
Other are so faint one must strain to see them
Why is that so?
Why do we have reminiscences of the past?
That are indestructible
But then there are those that seem almost fictional
Perhaps all memories are false
There is no past
Only a future
Those thought we are convinced in
Are merely images our mind wishes happened
And tricks us in to believing they did
Maybe everything we know is a lie
Everything that happened…
Didn’t
