Poem number forty two
Oh, behind this smile, is everything that you’ll never understand
It’s hard to collect yourself when you’re broken, by someone else’s hand
But you pick up the pieces; you try to move on,
You forget the lies because the past is gone
You remember the good times, cry over the bad
But life is too short for you to stay sad
So your smile returns, and you move on some more
And you find someone else you absolutely adore
Maybe they hurt you, or you hurt them, who am I to say?
But you keep moving forward at the end of the day.
There will be rain, thunder, and clouds sometimes,
But it makes it more beautiful when the sun shines.
Life is a book that is missing the end and the end is somewhere lost
So break some rules, have some fun, and forget what it might cost,
Because we only have today, we only have right now
You’re in charge of your life, you decide, when, what, and how.
Because behind this smile, is everything that you’ll never understand
It’s hard to collect yourself when you’re broken, by someone else’s hand
