My past is full of heartache and sorrow
Of broken hearts and promises unkept
Where sunny days one could never borrow
In dark, lonely corners of rooms I wept
A dark wasteland I hope to ne'er return
The fire I slowly built in agony
And in the flames did the past slowly burn
Until the present brought oh, sweet honey
A savior was sent to rescue my heart
Who showed me what living was all about
Always moving forward; a piece of art
Along with each choice we make, comes the route.
Facing the storm leads us back to our home
Put the past behind; move to the unknown

Like this poem says, my past is full of heartache and sorrow. I went through a very dark period of my life while I was still very young. I didn't know why this was happening, and what I was going to do. I wasn't living the way I knew I should have. I was feeding the storm instead of facing it. It wasn't until I faced the storm and got through it that I really began to live again.
