A Sunset

The singing of the setting sun,
sighing against the sea.
Waving away a broken past,
of hidden misery.
The water is impossibly blue,
the sun shines a scarlet hue.
The breaking waves upon the docks,
their spray soaking the jagged rocks.
Sinking slowly, the sun goes,
allowing the stars to their glimmering shows.
