It’s something indescribable
Not even these words can capture it
The feeling of being with him
A weight has been lifted off my chest
I’m upbeat once more
And my smile is real at last
My happiness is no longer a façade
I can finally act like myself
There are no more cover ups
No more lying about being fine
He pulled me up from the depths
Caught me as I was falling
Made me feel like I am worth something
Like he’d waste his time on me any day
There’s a sense that someone truly cares
All my days have been brightened
I now have a shield from the darkness
The nightmares have disappeared
I can finally sleep at night
