If you can't explain, then you don't understand. -Me

When the time has come for New Year,
Everyone drinks root beer.
The children wake up and run downstairs;
Under the tree are teddy bears!
Then comes Santa Claus.
Everyone is excited—
And then there is a pause.
They hear scurrying claws!
Santa brought them puppies and kittens
Wearing hats and mittens!
They’re companions for the winter—
They make sure you don’t get a splinter.
Outside there are eight tiny reindeer;
They are wearing rain gear.
Rudolph has a little red nose;
His companions think it froze.
They must go through the storm;
They stopped at this dorm.
They dropped off the gifts and went to sleep.
Outside, the snow was extremely deep.
Next morning they had a fight with snowballs;
There were some cheaters who threw paintballs!
After that, we drank hot chocolate—
Droplet after droplet.
What a fantastic New Year!
