Hope to Fly

remember the time when you believed them,
now all the lies that they told you
are slowly being revealed.
and the crashing tide that hid you then
can't hide you now, or all your sins.
Hail Marys and penances won't do the trick,
because you know deep down you're sick.
but it'll get better, i promise.
there will come a day when you can heal;
step out of the darkness and into the light,
and learn to accept yourself as you are.
let go of your fears and doubts,
all the temptation and pain,
and fly.
