He Smiles
He smiles that smile
And my heart melts
He laughs at my stupidity
When I’m trying to sound smart
Thoughts race through my mind
He bites his lip, I turn away
There’s something holding me back
I hate to admit it, but it’s you
I’m scared to say that I like him
When I’m still in love with you
He’s taking his time
But it’s still you on my mind
He walks behind me,
Grabs my hand
Fast reaction I pull it back
He talks about nothing yet something
Says he’s been hurt before to
That he sees the pain in my eyes
It’s the pain you’ve left behind
He tells me he’s not going anywhere
That you-whoever you are- ain’t right
He smiles at my obvious lies
Keeps trying everyday
But still somehow I turn away
To scared to try something new
I run back into your arms
Leaving his smiles and words behind
