I See You Glance at Me
I see you glance at me, from across the room. I feel my face go red and I quickly look down. I look over to see you smiling at me and I’m even more embarrassed.
Two years go by and you ask me to prom. We awkwardly sway left to right, until finally we leave because, that’s both not our thing. We go over to 7/11 and get super slushies.
Two weeks later, I get my first kiss.
Two days pass, and my heart is broken.
The years blend together, and I turn into a person I would never think of; I say things that are not me.
I go to college and leave my life behind and ditch what I know, to blend in with the crowd. I make friends, and even have decent grades.
My life is perfect. But only for a split second,
Because then it ends.
