Concrete Walls and Procrastination
I'm trying to get the words onto this page
Slowly I'm considering the lines.
I'll figure out what to say.
It might just take some time.
They say that perfection is something with out flaw
Truth be told, i don't feel like a diamond.
Because to me, time cuts away the quality,
And as i get closer to the edge, i could end up in the rough.
Hold me tightly, as i dig deeper into the foundation
I can't quite find my reason around this wall
Maybe if we work together, i won't see myself on the ground
Maybe i won't even see the start of the fall.
No one will need to pick me up
Brush off the dirt and dust
Carry me on to something new
And that something would surely...
Be you
I'm still trying to perfect myself
Maybe I'll find the way through this emptiness
Maybe i'll end up just like you
Truly seeing myself
A diamond...
But not in the rough.
