The Legacy MAG
The Legacy
Youth as a difference
The means to make a change
The leaders of tomorrow you say
Building the future, today in a better way
Building with nails and sweat and smiles
Teachers of tomorrow
Slaves to the past
Inheriting the legacy of waste and the stain of greed
For love of the dollar will we send our brothers into the cold
To suffer in silence
I have a home
What about him
Without shelter or hope
My Pity ... Yes
My Compassion ... hopefully
My Understanding ... him as me
I as him
Him as me
I as we
We as the ones who will inherit this place
Full of wonder and delight
Of despair and sadness
Yet the youth are resolved
To serve and aid ... to fill the void
Instill in them the will to care
The strength to continue when others will not
The dollars that destroyed must be the dollars that build
The empty hand must grasp the hammer
And construct a new way of thought
Of brotherhood and insight
Concerned youth who work for a difference
Who find joy in what they do
