Still For The Sleeper MAG
corner of your cluttered room,
i sit w/ the kitten,
looking at your art upon the ceiling.
we're waiting, waiting,
listening to the cranberries
purring and i'm purring.
i'm in among your black silk shirts,
your doc martens,
your tights w/ stripes - go girl go -
i love the clothes you wear,
the curls in your dark hair,
your new attitude in the feline air.
your kitten purrs herself to sleep on my shoulder,
and i wait all the quieter,
still for the sleeper
that's curled on my back,
wrapped around my neck,
waiting, like i'm waiting,
but i can't fall asleep.
