Knocking On Wood Doesn't Always Bring Luck MAG
It was gone
soldthe morning
before
spats of oil
remained on the
concretefloor
mounted wooden pegs
hung barren from the
wall
forthere was
no more need.
Today the bike
then maybethe
car
waiting for the
sign to go up
on the lawn
and theconstant
group of strangers
that walk in and
out
Thehouse
is wood
but that does not
suffice
The building no
longer insures
safety and comfort
For it is vacant
now
all that remain
are the empty
voices thatecho
through the hollow
rooms
