Eight Sonnet Of Purity MAG

By Anonymous

   Whither flies from tarnished skies

A heart bereft of purity

Which has in journeys dolorous

Lost truth in deep obscurity?

Where can he go, quite full of woe,

Where evils will not harden him

And he may ditch the troubles which

Continuously burden him?

Is there a place which might erase

The ugly scars etched in his brain

Which linger there by lack of care

And cruelness of the world's disdain?

For once he's met, with deep regret,

The coldness of this life and then

Longs to leave sense for innocence

Can he possess it once again?

When Life bestows the hurt it knows

And grants one's eyes the clarity

To see its harshness, then one longs

For unfamiliarity.
