Try and try and try again,
to find the piece that fits.
For hours and hours and hours on end,
Your heart wont let you quit.

After time you get fed up,
And grab a random piece,
You push the edges in that spot,
And when it fits you cease.

But still the picture doesn’t match,
The edges don’t lay nice,
And in your heart you know it’s wrong
But still, it will suffice.

Life goes on and time doeth fly,
And still it’s incomplete.
You hope that when you show your work,
They won’t hear your heartbeat.

And in your heart you know it’s wrong,
‘Cause out there in the world,
There lies the piece that actually fits,
To complete the puzzle, un-knurled.
