And the pain goes deeper than I thought it would.
There were so many things that I misunderstood.
There are so many things I still don't understand.
And my plan was to prevent my soul's decay
Through a simple act of pushing you away
So why am I the one hurting today?
The unexpected was how you hurt me back
I didn't factor in how you would react
Nor did I factor in the effect
Your words would have on me
And my heart
And my self-esteem.
