A moment in time
Is late and its quiet outside,
as the night falls, it became colder;
nothing seems to confort me tonight,
I take a book and begin to read
but it soon bores me,
close my eyes & think of you,
where are you? Who's by your side?
Turn off the light & I just stay in the dark,
wondering If you'd think of me,
quickly I realized you don't
'cause you don't know me,
I don't exist to you
& it only makes it harder
to know that we share a time
a here and now
& we are going through life apart,
I make myself believe you're here,
that your sweet arms hold me tight
& for a minute it calms me
but again, I fall into reality
& your arms run through my fingers
like sand.
Tears roll down my face
and a sigh scape through my lips,
like that I fall asleep
& your memory hunts my dreams...
Life was cruel to me,
I know I can't have you
& I might never will
but hope is strong
& I, I will live to the day
our eyes would met,
& if would only last a second in time,
a moment in time,
I was yours and you, you were mine....
