“You know, you really are a bad influence on me.”
I blithely forked the words out
But neither of us bothered to look at them, We were
both too busy breathing each others Co2 and getting high, no doubt.
your laugh would come later in a blur
but now, it’s a point on which we both happily agree.

It’s the way you talk around your own tongue
For me, editing your words, stories, entire existence
To fit my wavering rating of a sound PG 13
But I let you push my limits, you with such blatant persistence
And the block letter print of ink reappears on my jeans
You say we’ll do everything, in fact because we are young.

They say good girls will always fall for bad boys
And fall hard, but you say you got lucky when I answer the phone
And I punch out a gasping torrent of laughter even before you know what you said
And I laugh, knowing I cant do better, and everything that it unbeknown
To them, they will not approve of you and instead
Of being repentant, I say that’s the best, even paramount part, above their outraged noise.

A bit confusing, but sort of understandable.
