Her heart is hurting terribly
She doesn't want to say good bye to him
She doesn't want him to go
But she doesn't want him to die either

She holds his face right in front of hers
Her voice is choking as she says
"I love you so much"

He nods solemnly as he replies
"I love you too"
A tear runs down his face and she wipes it off
"I don't want to leave you"

She shakes her head and shhs him
"I know
But I have so many people here
I'll be safe"

He nods
"Can't you come with me?"

She gives a small laugh, skaking her hand
"You know it doesn't work like that
I wish I could though
You'll be just fine without me
I know you will"

He takes out the necklace she gave him for good luck
Years earlier, when they first met
It was her first gift to him

He tries to hand it to her
She takes it and puts it back
In his hand
Closing his fingers over it
Softly, she says
"Give it to me when you come back to me"
