Contemplating suicide
Dreaming of what it's like to die
Planning and plotting ways for an end
Unsuccessfully summoning courage again and again

So unhappy with your life
Numb, angry and depressed
That's what happens when you have no hope left

Confer with your god for a second
If you have faith in your god or any god at all
But be warned from now
If your god doesn't grant you the giant leap of faith you're pleading for
Know that when you jump off the cliff, you WILL fall

Constantly envisioning various situations
Well aware of the consequence: condemnation
Lying in bed night after night
Dreaming up your suicide note
A gun to the head or a noose 'round the throat?

Anything could push you over the edge
One painful memory, a few wrong words said
After all you're just barely hanging on
Any minute, off the ledge you're fingers might slip
And when you lose that grip you're gone

Unthinkingly make the decision
From which you can never turn back
Leave the world as you know it forever
All because of the sliver of hope that you lack

You're family will have to mourn for you, don't you know?
They will be a mess and chaos will ensue when you go
You're mother and father might never be the same
But that doesn't matter to you right now
YOU are the one in unbearable pain

This poem isn't about me per say, but with all the stories you hear in the news it got me thinking. So, i tried to look at it from a suicidal person's perspective sort of.
