I don’t care

Plotting revenge . . .

Doesn’t matter to me

Why did I trust you?

Already moving on

Thanks for everything, jerk!

Forgetting you starting now

Shedding tears because of you . . .

Got a whole phonebook of names

You’re blinking in my mind!

Enjoy your life

While betrayal is burning me.

The author's comments:
It was originally supposed to be a piece about a back-stabbing friend, but it took a different direction into the breakup route. I've never been in a relationship or anything, so I can't really write about the exact feeling. I hope I got pretty close. And to all of you who've been cheated on/hurt/been broken up with nastily, your ex was a complete IDIOT!

It's the first time I've done a poem like that, so your comment means a lot to me. Thank you, tigeress3!

Beautiful. I love the choppy lines.

Thanks a million, BeccaBlue826! That's really what I wanted to convey through the poem, the tangle of emotions after you've been hurt by someone. I'm glad that you think it could also work for a friend, too.

i sometimes express anger in happiness and sadness in anger...emotions just get jummbled up sometimes but its fine because at least something good came from it...like this peice very good emotion...and it kind of sounds like a 'close' back stabbing friend...
