The First Christmas
The ground bowed
The wind grew loud
And all I heard was the sound
Of angels singing all aloud
They praised his name
And all proclaim
He is the one with no blame
And we shall give him all the fame
But yet he asked them all for none
Though all who saw said he's the one
his work on earth had just begun
And that he would save everyone
I felt alive to see this sight
To be present on this night
To witness something new and bright
To let my imagination take flight
As I close the book
And glance up to look
I see his face like the light of day, as I stand there shook
I'll never overlook the story I found that day in his book

This piece is very special to me. It was inspired by the song why by Nichole Nordeman. I loved having the perspective of someone else during the crucifixion and i wanted to do the same thing but during Jesus’ birth.
