Snowbound
I woke up early a cold winter morning,
To go skiing was anything but boring,
It had been on my mind all year,
For the snow i hold dear,
The mountains high they stood,
Covered in snow from head to foot,
Up and down the slopes i went,
The speed my ski poles had bent,
From the slope i decided to venture out,
My head filled with zero doubt,
The snow was thick under my feet,
Floating through untouched snow sheets,
I did not realize i was lost,
Until my fingers felt the frost
I looked around there were no trees,
My hands started to freeze,
The moment i realized i was doomed,
By the fog i was already consumed,
Deeper and deeper i was sinking into the snow,
I had nowhere to go,
But then through the fog shone,
A ray of hope, a way home,
A way out i found,
Familiar slopes i saw all around
