These walls stand covered in a sapphire veneer
But I’ve been built up on clouds that vaporize with time
Grasped firmly these lifeless knuckles grew white
Mind racing swiftly like a bullet flying through your night sky

Scars trace the nightmares of tiptoeing lies
Hopes grasp tightly to handle bars of rusted memories

Lullabies humming their reassuring words
Sing to me lightly and slow the coiling in my mind
Put and end to these racing stoplights

The whispers that danced slowly now cease to exist
But the distant tapping of a heart beats inside my chest

While time freezes with elegant strides
Water based emotions stretch across the oceans of my eyes
And the waves crash upon silent and fearful shores
That drag away hope filled dreams to distant seas

This poem represent every glimpse of self doubt we all have in ourselves from time to time. It is the pain we all suffer to be 'perfect' when in all actuality we are all am imperfect masterpiece. Delicate and fragile, but beautiful all the same.
