Memories in Thread
The sweatshirt that lies in the back of a closet
holds more memories than can be imagined.
Within the fabric is blood, sweat and tears,
and memories and more,
thrown to the ground and forgotten to avoid the memories.
The memories of the long car rides and laughter
And the kind boy with ocean blue eyes and tears.
The memories of sadness and heartbreak.
Left to the back of the closet to mourn the
Bittersweet memories that were just as short lived
as the cloth that holds them.
