Divine Unrequited
Hey lord, its me
I wondered, if you’re free
Because it seems i just don’t see
Why all the things I’ve asked
Or prayed would come to pass
Have slipped into the past
It is that you don’t hear?
Or you’ve heard far too many tears?
Can’t help everyone see clear
You say we must pay dues
But still i’m confused
Lets take a walk,
And with you talk
You’ll see that i’ve renewed
Do you even care?
Or are you only air?
An illusion of hope,
To help ourselves cope
Never even there
You see it been so long
Since i’ve heard your songs
Forgive my hesitation,
I only wish my own salvation
Somewhere to belong
Now, I walk the streets, just staring out
I used my friends, i let them down
It burns my veins,
I turned away
The needles price is where i stay
And so i’ve pled my case
And I’ll wait, for your embrace
Didn’t mean to doubt,
What its all about
Seems, i forgot my place
But if you find the time
Please forgive me, for my crimes
Just give me a call,
Explain it all
I’ve been, waiting for a sign
