There are caution signs at Cuyuna lake mountain bike park,

And to me, they really just said speed up, fun feature ahead.

But now to they say, fun features ahead, just use caution.

So what has changed?

Well I think it's because I gained some common sense,

No not common cents like nickels or dimes,

No, not a common sense like seeing, or smelling.

Common sense.

Common sense,

The thing that keeps you from touching that hot stove,

Or from thinking the earth is a cube and you can fall off of it.

But here's a contradiction,

Common sense isn't common.

Lots of people don't have very much common sense.

And I think it's that people think that if something is common,

There must be something better.

Better like a rare sense or a legendary sense.

And people come up with something worse.

And they start saying foolish things like the earth is flat,

Or that the moon landing was faked.

They stand their ground on these things,

As if it were true.

They protect the incorrect.

They bring people farther away from common sense.

Making it more and more rare.

And that is why common sense isn't common,

Not because it's hard to gain,

But because humans are hard at heart.
