She broke your heart a month ago.
She built a wall
For every day
You weren't together.

Then you came riding on your bulldozer
To knock them down
One by one,
Only to find,
When you reached the middle,
Where her love for you
Once swelled with every heartbeat.

Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.

Sad but I'm sure a lot of people "build walls." I really liked the idea behind this poem.
