The Vinyard
A grape,
Sweet, raw, and beautiful
But without a doubt, fragile
A grape,
One that struggles but no one thinks twice of
Struggles to compete for water and resources
Struggles to come out on top
A grape,
Under appreciated,
Under valued,
Under estimated
A grape,
Something so small no one thought it could ever make any difference,
Something many fail to realize they are the same as
A grape,
Fighting for a place in its intricate society of vines
Growing more from the struggle than meets the eye
Placing its roots deep into a vineyard
A grape,
A small piece of a larger cause
Turning to wine
Once a small insignificant piece of fruit, turned to something more
A grape,
More than a fruit
More than the wine
That grape is me
A grape,
Struggling for a breath on the surface
To keeps its head above
Fighting its battles
Growing to be more
I am the grape,
The one that longs for more
The one who will not find weakness in struggle,
But rather strength
