The way to gain a good reputation is to endeavor to be as you desire to appear.

What words are there to express this love?
A love that welcomes laughter as an old friend.
A love that can endure silence and not be lost.
This love empowers the weak and readies the timid for heartbreak
So that when heartbreak comes, they that love and are loved are prepared.
They strengthen one another.
They that love are never alone because they are always loved in return.
This love drives away fears of all kinds.
Fear of rejection,
Fear of failure,
Fear of the past,
Fear of the future.
This is not the love that is forgotten
Rather it’s memories stay with us, growing sweeter with time.
In times when all good seems to have abandoned us,
We think of this love and are comforted by knowing that those we have loved,
Cannot forget us.
For this love endures all distances,
All obstacles,
All pain
Until the two parts come together again.

I wrote this right after we moved from Costa Rica. It's supposed to be about friendship, but I guess you could apply it to any kind of relationship.

AWW! this poem is special, because there are many people who know EXACTLY what kind of love the poet writes of, and this poem creates a desire for those who don't know TO know; which i suspect is the part of the poet's design. TWO THUMBS UP!!
