What The United States Flag Stands For
What The United States Flag Stands For
A sky stands submerged in smoke as endless amounts of paper drift through the soot filled air raining down on a terrified community of New Yorker’s. Yet through it all, 57,000 volunteers helped to clean the mess of the biggest terrorist crime that shocked America. With all hope lost, the United States flag stood tall at the grave of thousands of innocent people who lost their lives. The selflessness shown throughout the years to put America and its people first, to fight for the country that deserves to be fought for is what represents the bright fiery color of red.
America’s determination for independence highlighted its values and goals, which continued to the Revolutionary War against Great Britain. Thirteen stripes, resting side by side, representing the struggle for independence.
Fresh snowy white represents purity, the freedom from moral wrong and simplicity. It represents the innocent hopes and dreams of those who dream for a better living.
A deep navy blue represents the loyalty shown to America. The countless lives lost in order to protect our country from harm. People willing to lose their lives if it means America gets the chance for a better future.
What does the United States Flag represent to me? The flag represents freedom. It represents peace. It represents the right to speak my opinion on matters that are most important to me. It allows me to grow, and work towards my desired goals. The flag is the reason why we have rules to keep the peace. It’s the reason I am here today.
