In the darkness and in the light
You always somehow remain bright.
Embracing the true colors of the world,
Even if they maybe ugly in appearance,
The beauty is within the ugliness alone.
Ignoring the biases and stereotypes of what things may bring.
Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual are people as well,
Not to be thrown out of society
And treated like an old, ragged doll.
The view of others beneath them, is very twisted
And unkind alike.
Being taken away, because you were a bit different
Why kill?
There shall be vengeance, by remembering your life…
Through the celebration, and joyous memories that your life has brought to us all.
Teaching us and inspiring others to never live in fear.
You are truly a beautiful and unique individual,
Not fearful in being who you are,
Not everyone can learn this in 4th grade.
Your cries alone are enough,
As the news brings its tragic death,
Someone truly unique has been taken away.
Only in the darkness, we can see the light,
In this terrible invisible barrier, the darkness is dim,
And all of life and light continues to shine on.
