Ode to the Acoustic Guitar
Acoustic Guitar,
You know who you are.
You’re a melodic angel,
You sing in beautiful tones.
You’re a bed of roses,
And you tickle my nose.
You were there when I woke up.
And you were there when we broke up.
You wiped my tears
And you chased my fears.
Singing soft tunes, as light as feathers.
Spilling your heart out so lovingly.
I know I can count on
Hearing your soft warm sounds
Like flowing wings, my feet don’t touch the ground.
I love the way you are always there.
I listen and I can hear your flair.
Like the wind is blowing through my hair.
You are the oxygen in my air.
And I love it, yes I do.
And my love for you, it is true.
