"Some things will never change"---Tupac

A teddy bear lies on my bed
Holding all memories of you and me

You would tell me you would hold me
If I'm ever afraid

You would tell me you'll carry me
If I was to ever fall

You would tell me you would wipe my tears
If a drop was to ever escape

You would cheer me up and make me laugh
If a problem would suddenly arise

You would promise not to lie to me
When you look me in the eyes

You would talk to me for hours
When I had so much to say

Memories of you will never leave
Forever and today

I like the pattern here and the simplicity of your poem. The last two lines give it a good, strong ending and left me feeling really sad but still loving your words (:

I like the pattern you use. Also- it seams so simple but what it describes isn't [I think you did a good job allowing people to understand something painful and confusing in the length used.]
