To Blind and To Bolt
By your silence I am blinded,
By your words I am bolted.
When amiable acceptance is replaced by raging rebellions
Smiles are lost behind tears, in millions.
Some contend what goes on in the dark;
Blinded, I'm surrounded: no fire nor spark.
My mind fits feelings into pictures
Combining safeties with dangers.
I wish I could feel love once more,
But the blinding darkness closed the door
And I cannot find a way to go ahead, instead
All is dead, nothing can be said nor left unsaid.
Still I must break the ties
That bolt and that blind
And return to the ones who care
Who wouldn't let go, not even dare.
