Simple Truth
“Hey, what’s up?” they always say
But their words just fade away
Prior events have taught you
They aren’t the people you once knew
Who are they, but two-faced fools?
They turn their backs and remain so cruel
You look for acceptance, you look for reason
But all they give you is their treason
Give them no ammo from your actions
Let them remain in their factions
Take from them all they knew
Teach them again what is true about you
Do not let them speak on things they know not
To spread their rumors, gossip, and rot
Stand up tall don’t lay down low
Let problems slide, let grudges go
You are as resilient as a stone
Remember that you are not alone
Others will see the lighter side
They’ll become your friends in the hardest times
Defend yourself through calm collection
Help others without the slightest selection
Weed out opinions before they grow
Before they make you someone you do not know
