Not Pretty Enough
My eyes look out at me
My mirrored reflection
My pale complexion
Trying to look like everyone else
Along the way
I lose my self
To the eyes of society
Beauty is a priority it seems
My skins not tan enough
My hair isn't luminous enough
My eyes not good enough
For Them
They want me to be
Something other then me
If God wanted me
To look like Barbie
He would have made me like that
The people around say
"Too skinny, Too fat."
I don't care anymore
Pale
Skinny
Freckles
I like myself how I am
Though they say I'm not pretty enough.
