Born in a controversy,

duality became my specialty,

society's brutality made me a nonentity.

Their treatment hurts, they dance in merriment.

A planned party awaits me.

Drummers in line with their conga in excitement,

women at the outskirts of town ready to dance in,

children drooling over the aroma from the cursed pot.

Confused, I thought I drifted from reality until the sound of the bamboo hit me hard on my already pale skin.

 "You don't belong here" was the theme of the party.

I shed hot tears thinking that would make them refrain but they didn't.

My future is in jeopardy.

No education. No ambition.
