Lies that were told,
Are found at the end of the road.
The lies that were on the surface, Are the ones that should’ve burned in the furnace.
Lies that slipped from your lips,
Had my heart doing flips.
Lies that were told,
Had me believing you were true,
How stupid of me to still believe it too.
The lies in your eyes are still there.
That’s why I don’t look at you even though I care.
Lies that were told,
Are what makes me grieve.
If breaking my heart was what you intended; then you did succeed.
Your lies were just that easy.
It’s like you didn’t even try.
And I held onto every word now I feel like I could die.
Lies that were told all came into view.
The lies that eventually ended me and you.
