Elder of the Earth
Oldest of the land
Parent of flower's birth
Above all man
Wiser than the brain
Ours,at least
Grace,unbelievably sane
Lavishing the grass's feast
Sturdy,stubborn beauty
To itself,be true
Alien understanding to me
Of the green hue
Not bound to one race
Nor does it choose to see
Gives at its own pace
Coming to bow to the tree
