Do you know?
Do you know that it’s like,
To see your hopes and dreams shattered?
To see everything you’ve worked for,
Disappear in the blink of an eye?
Do you know how it feels,
To be betrayed by a friend?
Betrayed by the one,
That you trusted the most?
Do you know the sound,
Of your family fighting?
Fighting through the night,
When they think you’re asleep?
Do you know the taste,
Of the irony blood?
Blood from your own mouth,
Broken and bleeding from your boyfriends fist?
Do you see the scars,
Long and straight on your wrists?
Scars reminding you of the pain,
That this life gives you?
What do you know?
What do you feel?
What do you hear?
What do you taste?
What do you see?
Is it all fun and games?
Is your life all good?
Or do you wish for an escape?
I do.
