Stone Soldier
Here he stands before you,
As solid as a stone,
21 more seconds,
Then the next post he will go,
Buried here are many,
Underneath the moon,
They are unknown soldiers,
Protected by this tomb,
They fought for us in war,
And gave their life for us,
How can we repay them,
For the life they gave to us,
We honor and respect them,
But we don’t know their name,
Unknown soldiers they will be,
Forever with no name,
And now he stands upon the ground,
Peaceful and contrary,
Waiting for the change to come,
In Arlington Cemetery
