Mother Nature
The girl is a wild and wretched thing
A lesson in disobedience for all to see
She listens not to man or king
Unbroken, untouched, unfettered, carefree
She is a mother, a lover, a revolutionary
Pushing through cracks in our facade
Her voice is heard, riotous and merry
We give no praise, do not applaud
She is seen as an enemy to innovation
So we poison her and tear her down
Cruelness growing with each generation
Yet she does not renounce her crown
Nature rebels against humanity
Across the earth, she will forever roam
With great beauty and urbanity
Waiting patiently to call us home
