"You must give up a life you’d planned in order to have the life that’s waiting for you." ~ Joseph Campbell

Can’t you see?
I can’t write poetry.
It’s not natural to me.
Similes, metaphors, personification, and I we don’t agree.

Similes hide out,
in the corners of my mind.
Metaphors are more brazen,
Hiding in plain sight.

Personification is eluding
Alliterations act afraid

You see,
I can’t write poetry.
It doesn’t work in my brain.
All these elements are lost on me.
O, and I forgot to mention irony.
