Monster in The Deep
March 11, 2019
I’m kicking, fighting a monster,
pushing to swim, treading water.
When I look, the ocean fogs.
I feel a bite. “Ow my leg!”
The fish jumps—an angel fish,
fighting seaweed. I shriek sharply.
