Growing up
Growing up
Growing up with a family that chose drugs over you
Waking up to your mother crying because she has
Nothing left she can do
Growing up wanting to turn your life all around
Continuing school struggling through it all
Watching as everyone around you stands nice and tall
Wanting someone to love you above all
Going through relationships left and right
All of them usually ending in a fight
Losing a good friend to death
You feeling that you have nobody left
Waking up in the middle of the night,
To find yourself in tears
Living a life trying to help past
Your own fears
People telling you to hang on tight,
In the end you will see the light
Growing up and becoming interested in sex
After he breaks your heart
Your wondering what will come next
Spending more time talking to a friend
Of four years
Calling him day after day with a face flooded with tears
Telling him about all your fears
Using a soothing voice he tells you things will be alright
I won’t let you fall without a fight
He says stay strong now I will be home soon
We will be holding each other under the midnight moon
Spending one night hand in hand
The thought of him going back home you can not stand
Spending the time talking and laughing
When time runs short the tears begin to fall
Getting in your car ready to leave
The moment you have been dreading most of all
Hard to believe the night has to end
To him your heart you will lend
Telling him you love him with all your heart
I will love you till death do we part
I love you now and I loved you from the start
