Ode to Winter

I look outside a window,
any window,
see the world covered in white;
my garden of Eden–
it’s heaven,
and no more,
peace falls
with the calm snow
dripping from
God’s hands;
Shimmery particles,
precious gems,
stones,
diamonds
falling into my world.
But change,
in winter’s case,
is inevitable,
it’s mid-January,
I wake up to find
white puff clouds
have turned black—
stormy days
follow that
we huddle beside
a fireplace;
silence falls with
the spiteful snow—
no sound is heard
in the city,
where music used
to never stop—
yes, no sound is heard
except for the cries
of lonely street cats;
beggars –
in the cold,
lonely nights
pass wistfully through
the city in black.
Cold
dark,
lonely,
lovely winter.

aahaha i'm so sorry!! lol i completely didn't mean it, just i hadn't looked at your profile thingy so i didnt really know and i wasnt thinking i just sort of typed it and then i was like......oops!! :S so sorry, it's not that you're masculine at all or anything!

anyway yes your poems are definitely the best i have read on here. and i mean that, really. they're great, and like i said, just so much more refreshing and original, i could smell the tangerines in that poem. and this one, it just completely paints a picture. also you have a really unique way of structuring your poems, i really like it, it's like your trademark. i think it makes it more flowing.
